At the Kalispell Babe Ruth League October board meeting, the league adopted new bat policies for our baseball divisions. The bat standards put forth by Babe Ruth Baseball at the national level were the basis of our policy since their adoption. Our local board debated the issue prior to the season. Over the past year, the board observed our players competing within our league and against several out of state teams during our summer tournaments. These observations combined with discussions with non-Babe Ruth League affiliated baseball entities, led us to modifying our bat policies. Our goal with this modification is create better, stronger, players that can continue to progress through each level of baseball without falling behind their peer groups.
The new bat policy is as follows:
13 year-old Division - BBCOR .50 no greater than -5 or USA Baseball Markings no greater than -5
14-15 year-old Division- BBCOR .50 no greater than -3
