Opening Day - Flathead Beacon article -  
If your neighbor has not walked over and brought you a copy of this week’s Flathead Beacon article, with the baseball player salute to the flag on the back page, action photo inside and team waiting to play photo up front, then perhaps your player is not throwing or hitting nearly enough baseballs over into their property to be noticed or to be run over by the lawnmower, tractor, or truck. 
Get yourself a copy of the Beacon for the scrapbook or check out the online “play ball” photo gallery. The players’ faces say it all, “Baseball matters!”   That, and the unresolved questions being bantered around during practices this week: 

• “Was he safe or out on the slide into the tag?
• Does he have the ball?
• Where is the base in the dirt cloud?

• Who was that National Anthem singer again - amazing!?
