Parent Volunteer Hours

Midway Rental Market Volunteers SignupGenius links.
Parents please find your child's team and schedule a date that best fits your schedule to work the Market.
Concession Stand Calendar will be posted in the concession stand and under concession stand on the main page.

Each team is responsible for providing 2 volunteers to help with running the concession stand during the game, children are allowed as long as there is supervision.

1-  Field prep consists of uncovering our mounds, chalking our foul lines and batters boxes, and dragging the field if necessary.
2- Facility cleanup consists of emptying our smaller trash cans into the dumpsters, and making sure our bathrooms are cleaned and stocked for the next day.
3- Concession Cashier consists of selling "peanuts and cracker jacks" and much more, adhering to proper food handling safety protocols, processing and handling payments, and maintaining inventory control.

Our goal is to help take some of the burden from our coaches' shoulders so they can focus getting players ready to play as well as wrapping up post game paperwork and field repair.

Whether is takes an hour or 30 minutes, we are counting on each other to help build our baseball community, one field at a time.

Volunteer Opportunities

Why Should I Become a Volunteer?

Kalispell Babe Ruth is always looking for responsible and enthusiastic individuals to support and coordinate Babe Ruth events and activities. As a volunteer, you should have a keen interest in the safety, well-being, and overall development of children. By reading further, you will discover that the benefits of volunteering are endless. You will also gain a better understanding of why you should become involved, who volunteers are, what you can do, and how you can sign up. Our league relies on a devoted group of adult volunteers to help ensure that the organization remains structured and runs smoothly.

Who Can Volunteer?

Anyone can apply to become a volunteer. Whatever talents or skills you have, we can use them! Our volunteers are grandparents, siblings, aunts and uncles, retirees, community leaders, former players, friends, neighbors, and more. Any community member who wishes to become a volunteer may apply.

All parents of children involved in Babe Ruth are strongly encouraged to volunteer. As a parent, volunteer, you have the opportunity to spend quality time with your child in a safe, fun-filled environment. Oftentimes, parent and child social lives parallel each other. Volunteering allows your life and your child's life to intersect on common ground, with shared interests and goals.

On rare occasions, Babe Ruth, through District Administrators and your local Board of Directors, may deny individuals the privilege of volunteering for reasons, past or present, that may be detrimental to the positive development of young people, other volunteers, and/or our league. When you apply to become a volunteer, you give KBR the right to conduct necessary background checks.
